On the top right of the website you will see the icon Google translate. This offers the opportunity to automatically translate the whole website into a defined number of languages. It’s an automatic translation, so useful but not 100% accurate. Nevertheless it makes this website even more accessible for a lot of people.
GI Learner is presented at the ESRI Educ conference in San Diego with a workshop and a presentation.
GI Learner presented its work during a session at the KNAG education day, a day that atttacks more than 700 geography teachers. The session was attended by more people than foreseen, causing some seating problems. More info on the conference (and all presentations) can be found here.
End of February all pupils being involved in the 3 years lifespan of the project will meet in Madrid. They will also work on new materials and write parts of the final publication.
From time to time we need to update the exercises, and this for a number of reasons: the data can be updated with more recent numbers or website changed their content. It is therefore crucial to come back to our website – Course page – to download the latest version. E.g. Globalisation has been updated.
On Tuesday 24 May GI-Learner was asked to present the project to an audience of PhD-students, teaching assistants and professors of Iasi University, Romania, Geography-Geomatics department.
