GI Learner curriculum opportunities added

On the top right of the website you will see the icon Google translate. This offers the opportunity to automatically translate the whole website into a defined number of languages. It’s an automatic translation, so useful but not 100% accurate. Nevertheless it makes this website even more accessible for a lot of people.

Pupils were challenged in a very short time to learn to work with Story Maps, and create materials for themeselves and others. Here are some results: Creating city tour for younger group  (K12) Evaluating the project (K9, K12) Presenting Madrid (K9)

At the conference in Amsterdam a big audience attended the presentation of GI Learner.

The students involved in the project were the ‘guinea pigs’ of the project. There role was double: Making it possible for the project to assess the progress from the beginning to the end of the project (summative evaluation)  through self-evaluation tests, and give feedback on the first version of the lesson modules. GI Learner presented its work during a session at the KNAG education day, a day that atttacks more than 700 geography teachers. The session was attended by more people than foreseen, causing some seating problems. More info on the conference (and all presentations) can be found here.
