From time to time we need to update the exercises, and this for a number of reasons: the data can be updated with more recent numbers or website changed their content. It is therefore crucial to come back to our website – Course page – to download the latest version. E.g. Globalisation has been updated.

A perfect overview of the project GI Learner and the results on a poster – available in English and Spanish.

On the top right of the website you will see the icon Google translate. This offers the opportunity to automatically translate the whole website into a defined number of languages. It’s an automatic translation, so useful but not 100% accurate. Nevertheless it makes this website even more accessible for a lot of people.

Almost all translations are available now. Although not foreseen in the project application we decided to also translate everything in French,thus opening the material for even more pupils in Europe. The spatial thinking tests are already available in French, the lessons will follow soon. So everything will be in Dutch, English, French, German, Romanian &…

The students involved in the project were the ‘guinea pigs’ of the project. There role was double: Making it possible for the project to assess the progress from the beginning to the end of the project (summative evaluation)  through self-evaluation tests, and give feedback on the first version of the lesson modules. GI Learner is presented at the ESRI Educ conference in San Diego with a workshop and a presentation.

All course material is now available on the course page of the website. Translations will be final by the end of August. Also check the final course page, you will find all presentations of the conference.
